The central aim of the Ca’ Granda office project was to transform a large open-plan space into a high-performing workplace, combining acoustic comfort, spatial quality and architectural identity.
The project seeks to move beyond the traditional open office model, often affected by noise and a lack of privacy. It was therefore developed around a detailed acoustic study, carried out with engineer Roselli, which informed the design decisions from the earliest stages.

ACOUSTICS AS SPATIAL STRUCTURE
Acoustic control was treated as an integral part of the design rather than as an added technical feature.
The ceiling becomes a continuous system of sound-absorbing elements, providing consistent acoustic performance, while vertical panels introduce a visual rhythm that helps define the different working zones.
The result is a balanced space where comfort is experienced not as an absence, but as an active quality of the environment.

AN ORGANISED, LEGIBLE OPEN-PLAN SPACE
The large room is organised as a sequence of functional areas without losing the sense of a unified space.
Workstations are integrated with storage, work surfaces and small architectural elements that create a dynamic yet ordered working landscape.
Natural elements and everyday objects make the environment more human, moving away from a sterile image of the contemporary office.

MATERIAL IDENTITY AND COLOUR
The material palette combines neutral tones with stronger colour accents, particularly in the vertical acoustic panels.
Colour is more than an aesthetic element: it helps people navigate the space and identify its different functional areas.

A CONTEMPORARY WORKPLACE
The Ca’ Granda project establishes a new balance between engineering and architecture, turning acoustic performance into an opportunity to create a strong and distinctive spatial identity.
An environment designed for better working, and for everyday life.
